چکیده

In this paper, a new class of polyphase sequences for CDMA systems and its generation method are suggested, and the correlation properties of the sequence are investigated. The performance of the sequence in quasi-synchronous CDMA (QS-CDMA) systems is investigated under frequency-selective, time-nonselective, slow Nakagami fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). It is shown that the performance of the QS-CDMA systems using the suggested sequence is independent of the number of users and is much better than that using the PN sequence.

An Analysis on the Effect of the Number of Phases in Multipath Fading DS-CDMA Signature Sequences

Direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) communication systems using random polyphase sequences with coherent reception in multipath fading channels are considered. By examining the asymptotic characteristics of the multiple access interference and multipath interference, we show that the DS-CDMA system performance with random mp-phase sequences of mp 3 is better than that with r...

Effects of carrier frequency accuracy on quasi-synchronous, multicarrier DS-CDMA communications usin - Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Journal on

It is known that the multiple access interference (MAI) of a quasi-synchronous (QS) multicarrier direct signal code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system can be substantially reduced by using signature sequences having optimized cross correlation at small shifts around the origin. This paper shows that the time-frequency cross correlation function rather than the usual (time-domain) cross c...

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems

Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

Spreading Sequence Design and Theoretical Limits for Quasisynchronous CDMA Systems

For various quasisynchronous (QS) CDMA systems such as LAS-CDMA system which emerged recently, in order to reduce or eliminate the multiple access interference and multipath interference, it is required to design a set of spreading sequences which are mutually orthogonal within a designed shift zone, called orthogonal zone. For traditional orthogonal sequences, such as Walsh sequences and ortho...
